Jewelry For the Home
First steps toward becoming a lifestyle brand.
PROJECT:
Kendra Scott, a well-known jewelry company with the desire of becoming a lifestyle brand wanted to expand into new product categories. I was asked to come up with a small Home Collection that was both representative of the brand and brought the same affordable luxury to the home that Kendra Scott jewelry brings to women's wardrobes.

SOLUTION:
"Jewelry For the Home," is a small collection of decorative home goods that was “accessible luxury” and representative of the brand. Natural materials are a key attribute to the brand and were selected based on the most successful jewelry pieces. The aesthetic is clean and modern while still retaining a designer sophistication and reflects similar attributes found in the KS retail stores. While Kendra Scott jewelry appeals to all ages, "Jewelry for the Home" would be directed at gaining a more mature customer base.

I managed the design and development of “Jewelry for the Home.” Working directly with the VP of Design and Kendra, we translated the jewelry brand into hard goods. I provided competitive analysis, product and trend research, mood boards, and all supporting visual collateral for cross-departmental meetings. Some travel overseas was necessary to source vendors and materials. I managed all technical development including: tech packs, color variation standards, material testing, developed quality standards, and prototype approval.
